YBC Hires Garrett a VP of Truss Manufacturing & Installed Sales

Your Building Centers (YBC), the central Pennsylvania building supplies dealer and manufacturer, announced that it has hired Ted Garrett as the company’s new vice president of manufacturing and installed sales.

Garrett will be responsible for the future direction of Your Building Centers’ three manufacturing plants located in Allensville, Berlin, and Beech Creek. Pennsylvania.
He replaces Tim Leupold, who was promoted earlier in the year to YBC’s President and CEO.
Garrett has a long history in the lumber and components industry and formerly served as director of manufacturing at 84 Lumber.
After serving in the Army, Garret started at 84 Lumber working as a manager trainee. He worked his way up from there to management, where he transitioned into truss manufacturing as a location manager.
He then went through multiple advancements in his career from sales and design to operation manager, to the last five years being a director of manufacturing.

Garett’s career in the lumber and building materials industry has taken him across the country, but since accepting his new role at YBC, he now currently resides in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He has one daughter and in his spare time, he is an avid hunter, fisherman, and motorcycle enthusiast.
With over 35 years of experience in the building materials business, YBC said that Garrett has gained the knowledge and expertise needed to lead its manufacturing division and future growth.
YBC operates 20 locations with 450 associates throughout central Pennsylvania. The company serves contractors, builders, remodelers, and do-it-yourselfers with top quality brand name building products that they know and trust.
