Safe + Sound Week is a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe. The National Framers Council is proud to support and participate in Safe + Sound Week 2023!

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the rate of worker deaths and reported injuries in the United States has decreased by more than 60 percent in the past four decades since the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act was passed. However, every year, more than 5,000 workers are killed on the job (a rate of 14 per day), and more than 3.6 million suffer a serious job-related injury or illness.

The NFC continues to support OSHA’s Safe+Sound campaign in a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the value of workplace safety and health programs because they help businesses:

  • Prevent workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Improve compliance with laws and regulations
  • Reduce costs, including significant reductions in workers’ compensation premiums
  • Engage workers
  • Enhance social responsibility goals
  • Increase productivity and enhance overall business operations

As a campaign partner, the NFC encourages members to participate in this year-round campaign. Participation is a good way for framers to get started with a new subscription to FrameSAFE or get active subscribers more involved with their existing program.

Register your activities on the Safe+Sound Week webpage and learn more about how to participate! Be sure to take photos and send to NFC staff so we can share your Safe+Sound story with members this fall!
