Framing the American Dream in Venus, TX

Tuesday, March 17, 2026
to Thursday, March 19, 2026
Category: Framing the American Dream

The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) is funding a study
in collaboration with Clemson University to explore perceptions and experiences
related to single-family framing practices in Texas.

Texas builders are invited to drop in on a DRB Group jobsite in Venus, Texas, to
explore a traditionally stick-framed house plan as it is framed up in two days using
offsite manufactured structural components (roof trusses, wall panels, and floor
trusses).

For builders and framers across the country, offsite components are a tried-and-true
method for getting on and off the jobsite quicker and safer, with less waste and less
headaches, making each job more profitable for both the builder and the framer.

The event will feature the installation of first and second-floor wall panels, floor
trusses, and roof trusses, in addition to presentations by industry experts.
