Liberty County is celebrating a significant milestone as Atlantic Building Components, a leading wood truss manufacturer, has announced its expansion into the area. This strategic move, which marks the company's first Georgia location, is set to bring a wave of positive change, including a capital investment of $5 million to $7 million and the creation of 25 to 30 new jobs.
The decision was a clear choice for Atlantic Building Components. As President and CEO Mr. Broach noted, "The Coastal Georgia market has experienced tremendous growth, and we expect that momentum to continue." By establishing their new truss manufacturing plant in Hinesville, the company aims to serve its customers more efficiently, reduce costs, and build new relationships within the region. This investment underscores their long-term commitment to supporting the burgeoning growth in Coastal Georgia.
Known for its high-quality trusses used in residential construction, Atlantic Building Components found the ideal home in the Liberty County Development Authority's (LCDA) Hinesville Technology Park. This location is particularly significant as it represents the first true business to anchor the park in more than a decade. "We are honored to welcome Mr. Broach and Atlantic Building Components to Liberty County," said State Representative and LCDA Board Chairman Al Williams. "Their decision to locate here not only strengthens our business landscape but also creates new jobs that will benefit our community for years to come."
The project is also a hopeful sign for the park's future. LCDA CEO Brynn Grant shared her excitement, stating, "We are excited to see renewed activity in the park and to welcome Atlantic Building Components as the anchor for future business growth." She also highlighted that the required extension of Technology Drive will encourage continued development, paving the way for more companies and jobs.
Atlantic Building Components' choice of Liberty County highlights the area’s key strategic advantages: excellent access to major transportation corridors, a skilled and ready workforce, and a business-friendly environment. This new partnership is more than just a business deal; it's a new chapter for Liberty County, promising to foster economic growth and create a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.
