PARR Lumber Damascus broke ground Tuesday, April 16, at 19855 Sunnyside Road, just west of Safeway. That location is the 47th in the Pacific Northwest.

“Thank you for your support, it means a lot to our team,” said Mike Howell, PARR CEO. “Damascus will serve customers in important regional markets.”

This will be the third location in East County, with two other branches in Rockwood and Gresham. But the Damascus location will have all of the company’s offerings, with an extensive showroom, team of sale specialists, and all the subsidiaries in a one-stop spot.

  • Parr Lumber: lumber, decking, fencing, siding, windows, doors, tools, outdoor living supplies, and more
  • Parr Design Center: cabinets, countertops, sinks, appliances and hardware; with on-site designers to offer advice
  • Parr Truss: high-quality roofs and floor trusses for residential, multi-family and light commercial
  • Parr Door and Millwork: pre-hung interior and exterior doors, millwork, stair parts and finish trim

“Damascus will be a powerhouse location,” Howell said.

PARR first eyed the Damascus site five years ago, but COVID and other hiccups delayed the project. The plan is to hire 30 new positions at the location when it is completed. Learn more at parr.com.
