May 20, 2026 – Chesterfield, MO – MiTek, a global leader in construction technology, recently
announced the acquisition of Acer Lumber Retrieval Systems, a long-time partner in automation solutions for the component manufacturing industry.
Acer designs and manufactures the Ranger™ Retrieval System, a critical material-handling solution integrated with the MiTek MatchPoint® Direct Drive™ system and widely used in component manufacturing facilities.
The Ranger™ Retrieval System will continue to integrate with a wide range of automated cutting solutions, including solutions from other manufacturers. This ensures customers maintain the workflows and operational flexibility they rely on today.
This acquisition deepens MiTek's automation capabilities, supporting continued innovation and long-term product development while delivering the throughput, efficiency, and performance component manufacturers expect. Acer's team will join MiTek and continue to support customers with no changes to existing products, service, support teams, or integration capabilities.
"This acquisition is a natural next step in a partnership that has delivered meaningful value to our customers for years," said Tim Warran, VP of Offsite Solutions at MiTek. "By bringing Acer fully into MiTek, we are strengthening our ability to deliver reliable, integrated automation solutions – while continuing to invest in the equipment, services, and support programs our customers rely on to maximize throughput and efficiency."
