Nation’s Best Holdings, the fast-growing Texas-based home improvement and lumber retailer, has acquired Weiss Do it Best Lumber of Perryville, Ark.

Weiss Do it Best Lumber will maintain operations under its existing name with its key leadership team overseeing company operations alongside Nation’s Best, which will provide the strategic and financial support necessary to drive optimal growth and profitability

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“Weiss Lumber is a great fit with the Nation’s Best family of home improvement businesses,” said Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best. “Owners Bill Weiss and his nephew Russell have done an outstanding job establishing Weiss Lumber as the go-to source for home renovation and new construction in the Fourche La Fave River Valley.”

The acquisition marks the second Arkansas location for Nation’s Best.

“I am excited to see continued growth far into the South East as we follow our growth strategy,” Miller said.

Founded over 50 years ago, Weiss Lumber offers a full-service lumberyard, with a strong focus on power tools, electrical equipment, and hand tools.

“We’re extremely proud of the reputation we hold in our community and we’re especially excited by the growth possibilities that come with partnering with Nation’s Best,” said Bill Weiss. “Our focus will continue to be on solving every customer’s problem by turning that challenge into an opportunity.”

Nation’s Best is a member-owner of Do it Best. Based in Dallas, Texas, Nation’s Best operates nearly 30 locations under more than a dozen banners.

Last month, the dealer announced the acquisition of Woodland Building Center in Springville, Ariz.
