US LBM Announces New Director of Design & Estimating

US LBM announced the organization has added a new member to its new national design and estimating team. 

The company shared the news via social media:

"Please join us in welcoming Ben Tabolt, who recently joined US LBM as National Director of Design and Estimating. 

Ben will report to Mike Dykstra, who will transition from his current role as market president for Arizona Building Supply to vice president of operations in September. In his new role, Ben will help establish US LBM's new national design and estimating team, with a focus on strengthening consistency, efficiency, and support across our local operations while preserving the expertise that makes each market so successful. 

Ben will focus on building and leading the team, aligning processes across the organization, and partnering closely with sales and operations leaders. He will also help strengthen estimating capabilities through more consistent processes, greater use of technology, and increased collaboration across markets.  

Prior to joining US LBM, Ben served as director of the technical development team at MiTek, a construction technology company and strategic US LBM supply partner, where he spearheaded numerous technology initiatives from research through deployment to residential construction customers globally. Prior to Mitek, Ben created a successful design and estimating support company, partnering with residential design customers nationally. Ben currently sits on the board of directors for the American Institute of Building Design and has 26 years of experience in the residential construction industry.
