According to a WARN notice filed with the state of Oregon, Idaho-based Woodgrain intends to shutter its Pilot Rock sawmill. All 62 workers employed at the site will be affected by the plant's closure, which will commence "on or after September 1, 2025," the filing states.

According to The Oregonian, Woodgrain acquired the Pilot Rock mill and another in La Grande, Ore., in 2018 from Boise Cascade. It also notes: "The Pilot Rock mill closure is the latest in the series of closures across Oregon in recent years, including mills in Banks, Springfield, Philomath, Toledo, John Day and Riddle."

Owens Corning also recently closed a door components facility in Oregon, and Jeld-Wen did the same.
