ABC Supply Completes Acquisition of US LBM Business Units

ABC Supply said it has finalized its acquisition of businesses it purchased from US LBM.
ABC Supply has over 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
The move includes specialty distribution businesses including Feldman Lumber, Richardson Gypsum, Rosen Materials, Wallboard Supply Company, and Coastal Roofing Supply.
The interior product businesses of Feldman Lumber, Richardson Gypsum, Rosen Materials, and Wallboard Supply Company will operate under L&W Supply, and Coastal Roofing Supply will operate under ABC Supply.
“We look forward to welcoming the new businesses into the ABC Supply family,” Dan Piché, president of L&W Supply.
Based in Chicago, L&W Supply is a subsidiary of ABC Supply and operates more than 250 locations in 40 states. The company’s focus is distributing wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners and related building products.
With headquarters in Beloit, Wisconsin, ABC Supply has over 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The agreement was announced in January.
LBM acquired Feldman Lumber and Wallboard Supply in 2014 and Rosen Materials in 2015. In total, these divisions and their subsidiaries currently operate 42 locations in 12 states and primarily sell and distribute interior building materials, including wallboard, acoustical ceilings and steel framing.
US LBM is based in Atlanta, Georgia and operates about 400 locations nationwide.
