Builders FirstSource Acquires Gleckler & Sons

The Builders FirstSource acquisition streak continues with the announced deal involving Gleckler & Sons Building Supplies and Gleckler & Sons Construction.
The companies serve homebuilder customers in central, northeast, and western Florida with residential framing services, roof and floor trusses, exterior doors, millwork, and other building materials.
The Florida expansion follows by about 30 days the announcement of another Southeast acquisition—Builders FirstSource acquired Innovative Construction Group (ICG) from PulteGroup, Inc.
Gleckler & Sons has 11 locations in central and northern Florida: Jacksonville, Ormond Beach, Tampa (2), Lakeland, Ocala, Bunnell, Longwood (2) Mascotte and Sanford.
During its second quarter earnings presentation, Builders First Source said it completed 42 acquisitions since 2021 -- not counting Gleckler and ICG— representing $2.3 billion in annual sales.
“We still think M&A is a great opportunity for us,” said CEO Peter Jackson during the presentation. “There are a lot of desirable players out there in our space. We certainly have been speaking to a handful of players that are looking to make a move now, for various reasons, and think this is a good time for us to continue to lean into those opportunities."
