Editor's Message: Another Year of Growth

SBCA Magazine,

Carrying Our Momentum Into 2026 and Beyond

As another year draws to a close, I want to take this moment to say thank you to every reader, contributor, partner, advertiser, and member of our community who has made 2025 such a meaningful year for SBCA Magazine and the industry as a whole.

Over these past twelve months, we have seen transformation in so many ways: advancements in technology, renewed conversations about workforce development, and an increasing recognition that building intelligently means building with purpose. The themes we carried throughout this year – innovation, accountability, efficiency, advocacy, and leadership – were not just words. They became actions in our pages, in our events, and in the stories told.

We close out the year with pieces that spotlight SBCA’s role on the national stage at HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase with our “Big Green House”, and how our partners came together to prove what is possible when the industry collaborates. We also look inward, exploring how best practices, Jobsite Packages, and education are reshaping what it means to be professional in our trade. We hope these stories remind you that the tools, materials, software, and best practices we adopt now will shape the quality, safety, and competitiveness of the work that follows.

To our readers, your engagement is everything. Whether through sharing your experiences, visiting jobsites, sending us questions or photos, or attending SBCA events, you have shown up. You read not because we publish, but because what you see in these pages matters to your business, your teams, and the buildings your components become part of.

I also want to say that, on a personal level, I truly enjoy this industry. The people I meet at jobsites, conferences, and events are not just professionals. They are dedicated individuals who are generous with their time and knowledge. Every conversation I have had this year has reminded me how much heart there is behind the work you all do. This industry is full of problem-solvers who take pride in building something that lasts, and it is a privilege to tell those stories.

Looking forward to 2026, my vision for this magazine is simple: to bring relevant, timely, inspiring, and informative pieces to our readers, serving as a resource and hub for ideas and innovations.

What excites me the most about 2026 are the conversations still to come and where this industry is going, the new ideas waiting to be explored, the partnerships that will be formed, and the solutions that this industry continues to provide. I look forward to sitting down with you, hearing your stories, and continuing to shine a light on what makes component manufacturing so important to building the industry’s next chapter.

From everyone here at SBCA Magazine: thank you for being part of this journey. As the calendar turns, may your jobsites be safer, your operations more efficient, your craftsmanship finer, and your successes greater. Here’s to another year of growth, impact, collaboration, and doing the work that matters.

And as we step into 2026, I encourage you to stay connected with us. Send us your stories, share your successes, and don’t be afraid to bring us your challenges too. Every idea and every perspective strengthens this publication, and together we can continue to tell the story of an industry that is shaping the future of construction.
