Editor's Message: The Next Chapter

Framing Today,

Growing Framing Today with Your Stories, Projects, and Participation

As 2025 comes to an end, I’m reflecting on how much progress we’ve made—not just across the framing industry, but within the pages of Framing Today. What began a little over a year ago as a new initiative is now entering its second full year of publication. That’s a milestone worth celebrating.

From our first issue to this one, our mission has remained clear: to provide framers with a publication that speaks directly to the realities of the jobsite, highlights the people who make this industry great, and shares the tools, resources, techniques, and insights that help all of us grow stronger. Each issue has sharpened that focus and helped tell stories that matter.

I am excited about how this magazine can grow. For the magazine to truly succeed, it cannot be a one-way conversation. It must be built on the input, ideas, and participation of framers themselves. The more we hear from you, the more relevant this publication becomes.

One of our goals for 2026 is to expand the reach of this magazine to more framers across the country. We want it to be in the hands of crews on jobsites, in the breakrooms of construction companies, and on the desks of business owners. To do that, we need your help. Share this magazine with others in your network. The more framers we connect with, the stronger our voice as an industry becomes.

We also want to broaden our coverage. We especially want to include more voices from single-family framing crews and independent framers. Their perspective is vital to understanding the challenges and opportunities shaping our industry today.

That leads me to a direct call to action. We need your stories. We want to know what projects you are proud of, what challenges you are facing, what solutions you have discovered, and what lessons you have learned. Whether it is a unique framing technique, a big job that you completed, or an insight from the field, these are the stories that bring this magazine to life.

You do not need to be a writer—just someone willing to share. Our team can help put your words and experiences into a format that others can learn from. At the end of the day, Framing Today is about framers, for framers. Your input is what will make it thrive and grow.

As we step into 2026, I am encouraged by the energy and momentum I see in this industry. Framers are finding ways to adapt to labor shortages, integrate new tools and technologies, and raise the bar on professionalism and safety. There is a sense that we are not just keeping up, but pushing forward.

This magazine is part of that progress. By creating a platform where framers can learn from each other, connect with new ideas, and showcase their work, we are building something that strengthens everyone.

Send us your stories, your projects, your photos. Tell us what you want to read about. This is your magazine, and it will grow in value only if you take part in shaping it.

Thank you for being with us in 2025. I am excited for what the new year holds, and I look forward to seeing how Framing Today continues to grow with your support. Together, we can make this magazine become the voice for framers everywhere and a resource that keeps pushing our industry forward.
