SBCA will host its first Open Quarterly Meeting (OQM) of 2026 in Austin, Texas, February 24-26, 2026,
bringing component manufacturers, suppliers, industry professionals, builders, and framers together for peer-driven discussion, real-world learning, and direct engagement with the broader construction market. The Austin OQM builds on what these meetings are known for: open conversation, practical insight, and meaningful connections across the industry.
On Wednesday morning, attendees will have a unique opportunity to tour multiple single-family jobsites framed using components in a predominantly stick-frame market. Following the tour, participants will take part in a Q&A session with the turnkey framer, Buffalo Framing & Truss, to discuss topics ranging from design and installation to customer development. After lunch, the group will sit down with home builder, Taylor Morrison, to explore its process and motivations for converting local product lines from stick-frame construction to structural building components. The day will conclude with an updated economic forecast highlighting market conditions and regional nuances, helping to ground insights from the day in economic reality.
OQMs are built on collaboration and connection; creating space for framers and component manufacturers to compare notes, talk through shared challenges, and learn how peers are navigating similar issues in different markets. The Austin meeting will continue that tradition with a mix of jobsite learning, peer discussion, networking opportunities, and timely association and industry updates.
The hotel block rate closes February 3, so be sure to book your accommodations soon before rates increase and rooms fill up.
