March 17, 2023: Deals to Be Had Before the Spring Buy

Justin Binning and Ken Timmins with American International Forest Products (AIFP) provide a snapshot of the current lumber market. With Spring and better weather ahead, the market will get steadily busier in the weeks ahead. While buyers currently in the market are finding good deals, both guests agree the current slow market may lead to a build up in latent demand once the spring buy season begins. It is possible that if costs remain low, more mills may be motivated to further curtail production. Justin has been with AIFP since 2010 with a focus in Southern Yellow Pine and Ken has been with AIFP since 2017, specializing in Fir species.
