Mike Mans of Mans Lumber & Home Passes at 81

Mike Mans (Mans Lumber & Home)
Canton, MI-based Mans Lumber & Home announced in August that the last third generation member of the Mans family, Mike Mans, died Aug. 16 at age 81. The company shared the announcement via social media:
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mike Mans, the last of the third generation of Mans men to go. Mike contributed to the Mans Legacy with dedication, passion, and family values. His impact on the company will never be forgotten.”
Mans’ obituary was shared from the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes:
“A graduate of Grosse Ile High School and Adrian College, Mike went on to serve in the U.S. Army in the field of Army Intelligence at Fort Huachuca in Tucson, AZ. While in college, he met the love of his life, Patricia, his wife of 55 years. After his service, Mike and Patti returned to Grosse Ile, where they built a life together and raised their two children.
As a generational family business owner, along with his partners, Mike was respected as a man of utmost integrity and admired for his dedication to his family and community.”
