The Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA) is expanding access to professional education with new Spanish-language sessions at their upcoming expo. In a recent podcast interview with Roofing Contractor's Jill Bloom, Juan Delgado, COO of Sustainable Living Builders and WSRCA board member, outlined the organization's commitment to serving the growing Latino workforce in the roofing industry.

"One of the things that we realized is that some of the business owners and their employees, their first language is Spanish," Delgado said. "What we wanted to do is make sure that we were sharing with them classes that were helping with their business, such as legal, safety, sales, and installation."

The new programming acknowledges that many business owners and employees feel more comfortable learning in their native language. This year's expo will feature over four Spanish-language sessions covering essential business topics that directly affect roofing contractors' daily operations and long-term success.

Beyond the language expansion, Delgado and Bloom emphasized the broader value of WSRCA membership. Members gain access to comprehensive support systems, including legal assistance through construction attorney Trent Cotney, disaster response guidance from expert Steve Slepcevic, and a network of industry professionals willing to share expertise and help businesses grow.

"When you're part of the association, they have some great tools that can help your business to grow," Delgado said. "All these people are there willing to help you because you're part of the community."

The Western Roofing Expo keeps growing as a vital resource for contractors looking for professional growth, networking chances, and industry insights in both English and Spanish.
