Rycenga Lumber, a family-owned lumber and building materials supplier based in Grand Haven, Mich., announced its acquisition of Weber Lumber, a well-established lumberyard in Muskegon, Mich.

The acquisition brings together two local businesses with deep roots in the West Michigan building community and represents an important step in Rycenga Lumber’s continued growth, according to the company. By combining resources, experience, and teams, Rycenga Lumber will be able to strengthen its operations and expand its ability to serve builders, contractors, remodelers, and homeowners throughout the West Michigan Lakeshore.

“Bringing Weber Lumber and Rycenga Lumber together is an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths of both organizations,” said John Rycenga, president of Rycenga Lumber. “We are proud to welcome the Weber team and look forward to continuing the personal service and strong relationships that customers have come to value.”

Honoring a Local Legacy
Rycenga Lumber is committed to honoring the legacy Weber Lumber has established in the Muskegon community while building on that foundation for the future.

“We understand that a lumberyard is more than a place to purchase building materials. It is about the relationships built with customers, employees, and the community,” said Rycenga. “Our goal is to preserve what makes Weber special while bringing additional resources and opportunities for the future.”

For Weber Lumber customers, the transition is designed to be seamless, company officials said. The existing team will remain in place, allowing customers to continue working with the people they know and trust. Over time, customers will benefit from the combined strengths of the two locations, including opportunities for expanded products, services, and resources.
