Jess Lohse has been named Executive Director for the Structural Building Components Association (SBCA), starting September 8, 2020. SBCA’s Executive Committee tapped Jess for its Executive Director position based on his extensive experience in the industry as a component manufacturer, Past President and Board Member of SBCA, and most recently as the association’s Assistant Executive Director as a member of the third-party association management team for SBCA.

He has an MBA from the University of Montana and degree in Business Administration (emphases in Finance and Information Systems) also from UM. Jess has been actively involved with SBCA since 2006 when he started Rocky Mountain Truss Co and served as the Montana chapter representative to the SBCA Board. He also chaired multiple committees over the years and served on the Executive Committee.

“We are confident that Jess’ many talents, collaborative and engaging leadership approach, and wide-ranging experience will help SBCA continue meeting its members’ needs as the premier trade association representing component manufacturers and their suppliers in the construction industry,” says Mike Ruede, SBCA President.

Jess’ direct employment with SBCA differs from the historical relationship it has maintained with its association management contractors and will offer a greater level of oversight and coordination between its volunteer Board and Committee Members and its independent third-party staff.

Jess can be reached at his new email address jess@SBCAComponents.com or by phone at 406-945-1491.
