SBCA continues to grow, and we are excited to introduce our newest addition to the team, Abby Langenberg, SBCA’s Director of Business Development. In this role, Abby will focus on building and maintaining relationships, leading the organizations’ sales programs and efforts, identifying innovators within the industry, and taking the lead in cultivating new members. She is committed to making significant impact and growth within the industry through connections and collaboration. Abby also understands that innovation cannot happen without a solid understanding of where we’ve been as an industry. She is committed to finding the balance between progress and tradition, ensuring that SBCA remains at the forefront of industry advancement while respecting its rich history.

Abby joins us from the food service industry, where she held prominent roles as Executive of Sales & Brand Growth, and Executive Director of Operations for Chick-Fil-A, in addition to her time as a Brand Manager, focusing on new construction developments in the real estate industry.

With Abby’s passion for building relationships and driving growth, she fits her new role very well. “Abby will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing relationships and membership through her dedication to fostering strong connections within the industry,” says Jess Lohse, SBCA’s Executive Director. “We are excited to have her join the team. With Abby’s diverse academic background, she brings a new and fresh perspective to business development; we look forward to continuing the association’s mission and membership drive with Abby in this position.”

This position will work closely with several other directors on our team, including communications and marketing. "Abby comes to us with great experience and an eagerness to connect with people in our industry," says Sean Shields, SBCA’s Director of Marketing. "I look forward to working with her to expand opportunities for component manufacturers and suppliers to build meaningful partnerships and long-lasting relationships."

Outside of work, Abby finds joy in gardening and nurturing her plants, proudly wearing the title of “plant mom”. Abby and her husband call North Carolina their home, where they actively participate in their church, helping lead worship and share their love for music together.

Abby earned her bachelor’s degrees in media studies and music from the University of Tulsa. Abby is a major basketball fan, loves to paddle board, and is a dog-mom of two to Beau and Sundae. Abby can be reached at alangenberg@sbcacomponents.com
