The 2026 SBCA Innovation Grant has four recipients, and SBCA is excited to spotlight each one leading up to BCMC in Columbus, Ohio, where attendees can see these innovations firsthand.
This week’s Innovation Grant Recipient Spotlight features Cadynce.
Cadynce entered the component manufacturing industry in 2023, building on its existing bid workflow technology to develop a solution specifically for the industry.
Cadynce will be featured alongside the other recipients on the BCMC show floor’s Innovation Alley at Booth 204. The People’s Choice Innovator will be voted on throughout BCMC week and announced during the Industry Celebration on Thursday, September 17.
Instead of more revisions and lost bids, Cadynce adds ownership, stage tracking, version control, and full visibility across every bid. Each bid compounds into a proprietary data asset, turning history that once vanished into file cabinets into sharper, more accurate estimates over time.
According to Kenneth Sewell, Co-Founder of Cadynce, connecting AI-generated estimates to the entire bid process helps ensure that “speed turns into more wins with less chaos.”
The idea for AI estimating developed after the Cadynce team attended BCMC in Omaha and spoke with component manufacturers about their estimating and bidding challenges. One manufacturer shared that he had 15 years of data sitting in file cabinets but lacked a way to organize and use it.
Cadynce’s goal is not simply to accelerate estimating but to help component manufacturers use their data effectively and win more work.
“It doesn't really matter if you can do an estimate really fast,” says Kenneth. “If you don't win the estimate, it doesn't really solve the problem.”
Being selected as a 2026 SBCA Innovation Grant recipient has increased Cadynce’s visibility and generated greater interest from component manufacturers. “It's really fun and exciting when some of those customers you've been trying to reach start to call you back and start to call you because of something they heard,” Kenneth says.
Cadynce is looking forward to demonstrating its software directly to component manufacturers at BCMC. “We really feel like this is kind of our moment to shine,” says Kenneth. “We’ll have the opportunity to share what we’ve been working on for the last six months with a target audience.”
“Having a booth for the first time at BCMC is really exciting, too, and we hope that everybody gets a chance to come by, spend a minute with us, talk with us, and let us show them what we’ve been building,” Kenneth continues. That direct access will let Cadynce connect with the component manufacturers its platform was created to serve.
