SBCA is pleased to announce Christine Wagner has been promoted to Director of Communications. Christine has been with the Structural Building Components Association (SBCA) for over three years, serving as Jess Lohse’s Executive Assistant. She has over 10 years of administrative experience in various departments and industries, such as executive, events, communications, and marketing, within the music, finance, education, and components industry. She possesses excellent attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
Working directly with SBCA’s executive director, Christine has learned many facets of the association and industry. “Christine has been a great asset to this team and learned a tremendous amount about SBCA the last few years; while I’m going to miss having her as my assistant, talent is talent, and she is the right person for this position,” says Jess Lohse, SBCA’s Executive Director.
In addition to working in the executive department, she has worked on many projects with SBCA’s Managing Director, Molly Butz, who states, “Christine’s natural talent for writing, editing, and messaging was apparent early on. So, when it was time to hire a new Director of Communications, it was clear she would be a great fit. She's been a very valuable part of our team, and we look forward to the talent she'll bring to this role.”
Christine earned a BM in Music Business Administration from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Arts Education, focusing on nonprofit management, from The Ohio State University. She currently resides in South Dakota, where she enjoys singing duets with her husband and exploring the Black Hills.
