The Power of Participation

Framing Today,

Inside NFC’s Events, Committees, and the Framer Summit at BCMC 2025

Framing is more than a trade. It’s a craft, a career, and, most importantly, a community. Nowhere is that community more evident than through the work of the National Framers Council (NFC), a dedicated group of professionals focused on raising the bar for framing safety, quality, and collaboration across the country.

BCMC & Framer Summit 2024

Whether you’re a veteran framer, a business owner, or just beginning your journey in the industry, NFC offers a variety of ways to get involved, stay informed, and make a meaningful impact. From regional events and national committees to the annual Framer Summit at BCMC, there are more opportunities than ever to plug into a growing network of peers committed to framing excellence.

Recent NFC Events

Maryland Regional Meeting & Golf Tournament

This spring, NFC hosted one of its most successful regional gatherings to date at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD. Held on May 21–22, the two-day event drew framing professionals from across the country for a powerful combination of education, networking, and philanthropy.

2025 NFC Charity Golf Tournament

The event opened with a formal dinner and regional meeting, at which attendees shared insights and enjoyed a memorable meal that set the tone for the night. Chad Prinkey, founder of Well Built Construction Consulting, delivered the evening’s keynote presentation, “Right Sizing vs. Down Sizing.” In a shifting market, Chad urged attendees to resist panic-driven downsizing and instead embrace strategic realignment. His talk left attendees with practical ideas for improving adaptability and long-term business health.

The following morning, 119 participants teed off for the annual NFC Charity Golf Tournament. Rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm as golfers made their way around the course, competing with camaraderie and good-natured rivalry. More than a competition, the tournament was a celebration of shared purpose and a successful fundraiser to support future industry initiatives.

Texas Area Dinner Meeting in Grapevine

Just a few weeks earlier, on April 29, the NFC hosted its Texas Area Dinner at Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Grapevine, TX. Nearly 40 framing professionals gathered for an evening focused on market insights and regional connection.

2025 NFC Texas Area Dinner Meeting

The keynote presentation featured Chris Beard, Vice President of Building Products Research at John Burns Research and Consulting. Chris shared valuable data on Texas’ multi-family housing market, offering an in-depth look at construction trends, labor outlooks, and metro-specific forecasts. His presentation sparked robust conversation on how local framers can prepare for upcoming shifts in project volume and labor needs, and a deeper understanding of the region's trajectory.

As always, the meal delivered an experience equal to the quality of the discussion, offering a full-course selection of seafood, steak, and signature sides that elevated the evening’s tone. The Texas Area meeting was yet another reminder of the powerful professional bonds that develop when framers take the time to come together.

Why Engagement Matters

NFC’s strength lies in its members, and getting involved at the committee level is one of the most impactful ways to shape the future of the framing profession.

NFC Committees are member-driven groups that focus on key areas of need and opportunity in the industry.

Committee participation is for everyone. Whether you're a field supervisor, safety manager, or project coordinator, your voice matters. By joining a committee, you can help shape policies, resources, and events that directly impact your day-to-day work and the future of framing.
