Werner Recalls Ladders Due to Fall Hazard

More than 122,000 Werner 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose Ladders have been recalled due to a faulty locking mechanism, according to the Consumer Safety Product Commission.
The ladders’ locking mechanism can jam and not fully lock into place, posing a fall hazard.

So far, there have been 18 reports of falls, including 14 reports of injuries resulting in bruising, lacerations, head injuries and fractures to the wrist, leg and ribs.
The recalled ladders were sold at Home Depot stores nationwide and online from November 2021 through February 2024 with average prices between $200 and $281. Itasca, Ill.-based Werner is offering refunds for the recalled ladders, which were manufactured in China.
