Wood Tech Systems (WTS) announced today the signing of an agreement to represent products from Nampa, Idaho based House of Design (HoD), the premier provider of robotics and advanced material handling in the wood component industry.

According to Joe Halteman, President of WTS, “The agreement to represent HoD is a huge opportunity to partner with a leading developer, one truly suited to move technology forward in truss and wall panel assembly.”

HoD features collaborative equipment solutions that are designed to maximize efficiency and increase production. This means that instead of trying to completely replace humans in a component manufacturing plant, the robotic systems work with your employees to make them more efficient and faster as well as eliminating injuries and reducing fatigue. If a fully automated line isn’t the right fit, there are modular-cell solutions that include automated plate picking, pre-plating, part delivery systems, and a robotic, horizontal stacking system for completed trusses.

“We’re excited about the industry insight, support and energy WTS will bring to our team, and to our expanding initiatives going forward,” HoD Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shane Dittrich said in a statement.
