BCMC 2026 Brings the Industry Together in Columbus

BCMC 2026 brought the structural building components industry together in Columbus, Ohio, for a week filled with education, innovation, new ideas, and countless opportunities to connect.

The week began with the annual BCMC Golf Tournament at New Albany Links Golf Club, giving attendees an early opportunity to reconnect before the conference got underway. On Tuesday, SBCA leadership also held a productive Board of Directors meeting, continuing important conversations about the association and the industry, while attendees spent a full day learning through BCMC’s education program. Sessions covered a wide range of timely topics and gave attendees plenty of ideas and information to take back to their businesses.

Tuesday evening’s Welcome Party at Scotts Miracle-Gro Field kept the conversations going in a more relaxed setting before Wednesday launched the heart of the show.

The BCMC Kick-Off featured the presentation of the 2026 SBCA Industry Awards, followed by keynote speaker Jesse Itzler. Itzler delivered an energizing and inspiring message that challenged attendees to think bigger, push beyond their comfort zones, and approach business and life with a renewed sense of possibility and purpose.

Then, the show floor opened.

Throughout Wednesday and Thursday, attendees filled the aisles to see equipment in action, explore new technology and products, talk with exhibitors, and participate in education sessions held right on the show floor. Additional activities throughout the week included the Women in Construction Lunch, IT Roundtable, chapter meetings, Fellowship Breakfast, Quality Bootcamp, and more.

Innovation was also on full display in Innovation Alley, where the four 2026 SBCA Innovation Grant recipients showcased their ideas throughout the show. During Thursday’s Industry Celebration, Crowdbuild™ was announced as the 2026 People’s Choice Innovator.

Thursday began with the Joe & Adam Kannapell 5K Run/Walk and continued with a message from SBCA President Larry Dix II and an insightful economic forecast from Todd Tomalak of Zonda, giving attendees perspective on the market and what may be ahead for the industry.

BCMC wrapped up Friday with an offsite tour at NHC Truss, providing one final opportunity to learn, connect, and see component manufacturing firsthand.

From the golf course and 5K route to education rooms, Innovation Alley, and a busy show floor, BCMC 2026 was ultimately about bringing people together. Thank you to everyone who attended, exhibited, presented, sponsored, volunteered, and helped make the week in Columbus a success.
