During the week of April 29 through May 3rd, the National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) and its federal partners will conduct a social media campaign to raise awareness and preparedness for the upcoming warm season. As we approach summer it is imperative that the American public have a plan in the event of dangerous heat.

This social media campaign informs the nation about extreme heat by providing resources, guides, and information so individuals can protect themselves and others before, during, and after heat events. Many federal agencies will be participating in this campaign, along with state and local partners, non-federal partners, NGOs, international organizations, and more.

The themes of this year's social media campaigns include:

Monday, April 29th: Learn About Heat
Tuesday, April 30th: Heat-related Illness Awareness
Wednesday, May 1st: National Heatstroke Prevention Day (including vehicular heatstroke prevention)
Thursday, May 2nd: Personal Risk Factors with Heat (including disproportionately impacted populations)
Friday, May 3rd: Preparedness, Tools, & Resources

You can follow along with the campaign and view the messages by using #NIHHIS and #HeatSafety
