Only one week remains to apply for the 2026 SBCA Innovation Grant. If you have been considering submitting an application, now is the time to take action.
Applications close May 15, 2026, at 11:59pm Pacific Time.
The SBCA Innovation Grant was created to help bring industry innovation directly into the spotlight by giving innovators an opportunity to showcase ideas and solutions in front of the structural building components industry. Whether your innovation improves efficiency, safety, quality, communication, automation, the jobsite experience, addresses another industry challenge, or brings something entirely new to the table, this program is designed to help increase visibility and create meaningful industry connections.
Selected recipients will receive:
- A 10x10 booth at BCMC 2026 in Columbus, Ohio, September 14–18
- Up to three full exhibit passes
- Promotion through SBCA media channels, including industry news and social media coverage
- Eligibility for the 2026 People's Choice Innovator award
The visibility begins well before BCMC. As part of the grant, recipients are promoted through SBCA media channels ahead of the show, helping introduce their innovation to the industry before arriving in Columbus. This early exposure helps build awareness, generate interest, and start conversations with the manufacturers, framers, suppliers, and industry professionals who will be attending BCMC.
BCMC continues to bring together industry decision-makers and professionals from across the country and beyond. For innovators, it creates a unique opportunity to engage directly with the people actively looking for new products, technologies, and solutions that can improve businesses and jobsites across the industry.
More than just exhibit space, the Innovation Grant provides a platform to gather real-world feedback, build industry relationships, and increase awareness around new ideas that could help shape the future of the structural building components industry.
Recipients will be notified by May 31, with the 2026 People's Choice Innovator announced live during BCMC on September 17 in Columbus, Ohio. The People's Choice Innovator will also be recognized in the January/February 2027 issue of SBCA Magazine.
Innovation often begins by recognizing a challenge and finding a better way to solve it. The SBCA Innovation Grant exists to help bring those ideas forward and connect innovators with the broader industry in a meaningful way.
