SBCA is excited to share the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS). This system allows SBCA to develop various functionality and customization specific to our association’s needs, ensuring a uniform experience for all learners. It is very user-friendly and geared towards microlearning, which is the direction our education and training options are headed. Learners will have immediate access once their course has been purchased by their manager and they have been enrolled in the system.

This new LMS offers more flexibility for our manager members to view learner activity and progress and gives managers the ability to set up learners on the fly. This new system also provides managers with reporting access to view individual students and course insights, providing the manager the ability to track learner’s progress, and further aid their students who may be struggling or are needing additional help.

The SBCA team has been hard at work getting this new system up and running, especially our Digital Resource Specialist, Laura Yasick, and Director of Education, Ashley Baker. “The platform itself is very clean and intuitive, and we have the ability to customize it to our association needs,” says Ashley. “I'm most excited about the functionality; we will be able to significantly improve and expand our Education and Training offerings and the ways in which we deliver that information.”

As the person who is in this system the most, behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly, Laura has beneficial insights into these processes. “This new LMS offers the functionality we needed, along with a very user-friendly interface designed to give our learners and managers a better experience than ever before,” says Laura. “It’s an exciting new program, especially since these new features are what we’ve heard our members were looking for. I look forward to continue building relationships with our members so they can use this tool to its fullest potential.”
